Security at all UK airports has been increased and additional security measures have been put in place for all flights until further notice.  The following arrangements apply to all passengers starting their journey at a UK airport and to those transferring between flights at a UK airport.

Passengers due to travel on Icelandair flights from London Heathrow and Manchester are advised to check in three hours prior to departure, bearing in mind the new cabin baggage restrictions still in place. Passengers from Glasgow should check in two hours prior to departure.

Icelandair is sorry for the inconvenience these measures will cause.

Please Note: We would like to bring your attention to the following:

From April 14th 2005 all Lighters and matches are now prohibited as a carry-on item in the aircraft cabin to and from the USA. Full details can be found on the US Transportation Security website at Disabled passengers are allowed a wheelchair in addition to their free baggage allowance, but it must be checked.

Baggage taken into the cabin of Icelandair aircraft must be placed under the seats in front of them or in overhead the bin. The passenger is responsible for his or her own cabin baggage.

The cabin crew is not required to accomodate large cabin baggage such as framed pictures, due to lack of space and security reasons in cabin.
